Spring Summative Assessments
Students in Juab School District will have the opportunity to participate in state end-of-year testing during the district’s Spring assessment window. Juab School District is legally required to administer all state assessments. The purpose of these tests is to allow our students to demonstrate what they have learned throughout the course of this school year. Results from statewide assessments provide our district, as well as our parents, the public, the Legislature, the Board of Education, and our teachers with a standardized source of measurement information about student proficiency and growth. This information, in combination with other locally collected data, helps us to evaluate the effectiveness of school programs. Individual student data reports will be sent to parents within three weeks of the end of the spring assessment window. Please contact your child’s school if you have questions about the timeline for the distribution of score reports.
State Spring summative tests include the following:
We strongly encourage all parents to support their students in participating in the appropriate state testing event(s) for their grade level. Principals, teachers, and staff work to ensure that the testing experience is a positive one for each student. Any parent who wishes to exclude their student(s) from a state test must contact the school principal to file the Parental Exclusion form. Parents must file a new form with the school principal each year. Schools request a 24-hour notice to avoid inadvertently exposing students to an excluded test. Please contact your student’s school for their specific state testing schedule.
