Last week, our schools were buzzing with energy, creativity, and school spirit as students and staff embraced Red Ribbon Week and Halloween festivities. From themed dress-up days to parades, assemblies, and special activities, it was a week that showcased the heart of our district: engaged students, dedicated staff, and a supportive community.
Students across the district brought the Red Ribbon Week theme, “Life is a Puzzle—Solve It Drug Free,” to life in fun and meaningful ways. At the elementary schools, students enjoyed themed dress-up days, class parties, and costume parades, celebrating school spirit and positive choices in their own creative ways. Mona Elementary welcomed the Juab County Sheriff’s K-9 unit, giving students an exciting, hands-on opportunity to learn how these highly trained dogs assist law enforcement and help keep the community safe. Nebo View Elementary encouraged students to think about how every positive choice fits together like a puzzle through themed dress-up days ranging from sports jerseys and crazy hats to pajamas and Halloween costumes. At Red Cliffs Elementary, the week was made even more festive with a special appearance from their energetic Eagle mascot during the parade.
Juab Junior High kicked off the week with an inspiring assembly featuring JHS graduate Ashton Seely, who reminded students that perseverance and courage are key pieces in the puzzle of life. Students also had fun with themed dress-up days, including twin day, Hawaiian day, camo day, and a hilarious Adam Sandler day. Friday’s “Masked Singer”-style assembly, where teachers performed in disguise and students guessed their identities, brought laughter and created a memorable finish to the week. Across the high school, students joined in on the themed dress-up fun, while nutrition teams district-wide added extra excitement with costumes, festive meals, and pumpkin painting with students. Even our bus drivers got in on the fun, recreating the Mutts Cutts van and dressing as Dumb and Dumber!
The week of celebrations culminated in the Greater Nephi Chamber of Commerce’s annual Main Street Trick-or-Treat, giving families a safe, festive opportunity to enjoy the holiday together. Weeks like this highlight the strength of our community—one that supports, celebrates, and invests in our youth, creating experiences that are both engaging and memorable.
From classrooms to cafeterias, from hallways to city streets, last week was a true celebration of community. It’s a reminder that together, our students, staff, and community make our district a place where learning, laughter, and lasting memories thrive. There's no better place to be than Juab!
