Superintendent's Message: December 16

Dear JuabSD Families,

As the holiday break approaches, I wanted to take a moment to reflect upon the successes of the first portion of the school year. Our students have demonstrated excellence in the classrooms, stage, and athletic fields. Academically, our students and faculty continue to shine. Visits to classrooms throughout the district give a true perspective of the examples of best practices teachers share each day. Strong pedagogy is exemplified in engaging lessons that motivate students to achieve, and I need to thank our great teachers and staff for making this happen each day.

The holiday season is often filled with lists, gift wrapping, and errands for adults. This year has brought additional stress and new challenges to navigate and problems to solve, and it is easy for us to forget the joy of the moment. Children can see the world as we cannot, with an innocence and excitement for these celebrations. As I have walked through our elementary schools during the beginning of December, the hallways and classrooms are filled with excited yells and laughter. I can’t help but smile at the happiness the season of Christmas brings. This pure joy is the joy we should all feel during this time of year. Our JuabSD students and communities are the light and joy in our lives. Throughout the coming days and weeks, I encourage you to take time in your busy day to pause and reflect on the meaning of the season. Look to your children for the joy we all need and embrace the small moments that make this time of year so special.

On behalf of the Juab School District Board of Education and the entire administration, I wish you a very Merry Christmas filled with peace, joy, and special family moments. We are looking forward to welcoming in the new year and continuing in this great work that we do.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, JuabSD Families!
