  1. A District employee who is obliged to be unavoidably absent for reasons other than illness and death shall take a Class B Absence.  He/she shall arrange for such absences in advance with the principal. 
  2. Except for jury duty or witness in a court case in which the employee is neither a plaintiff nor defendant, salary deductions will be made.  Any jury duty or witness fees received for the days missed will be remitted to the District as soon as received.
  3. Class B absences are jury duty, subpoena, and witness in a court case.
